Yoga is an ancient system for healthy living that has evolved over thousands of years. It began as a meditative spiritual practice where seers would meditate for extended periods. They used Yoga postures as a way to prepare the body for meditation. Over time and through many traditions, it has evolved into the practice that millions of people enjoy across the world today.

Regular Yoga practise has many benefits both for the body and for the mind. It will increase your strength and tone your body. It will aid weight loss when combined with a healthy diet and mixed exercise. It improves posture, strengthens the spine, bringing greater mobility and flexibility to the body.

Above all, it will bring calm and clarity to the mind. Combining Asana (movement), Pranayama (breathing), and mediation, Yoga’s unifying power has been proven over many thousands of years to bring the body, breath, and mind back into balance. It uses simple practical techniques and principles. Which in today’s fast-paced society are more relevant and required than ever.

Inner Warrior Yoga

“I’ve been practising Yoga and Hot Yoga since 2013. Initially I started as way to improve mobility, posture and physical strength and as an aid to recovery from training in Muay Thai Boxing and Strength & Condtioning. I quickly found that it was a perfect antidote to the pressures of modern life.”

I practised for six years before completing my 200 hour teaching diploma with Yogacampus in July 2019, graduating with a distinction. 

I find that my students benefit most from the three most effective teaching methods I use with my groups: working with an emphasis on the breath, using creative sequences based on functional movement and offering sound anatomical cues.
